Presentatie: Real-time ventilation feedback for OHCA

Nieuwe technologie zorgt voor hoge kwaliteit ventilaties, ongeacht of de patiënt is geïntubeerd of niet. Rasmus Meyer Lyngby van de ambulancedienst in Kopenhagen voerde een gerandomiseerde studie uit. In deze online presentatie neemt hij ons mee langs de resultaten van deze studie.

De meerwaarde van ventilatie feedback

Overleving na een hartstilstand buiten het ziekenhuis (OHCA) is geassocieerd met de kwaliteit van cardiopulmonale reanimatie (CPR).
Om longbeschadiging te voorkomen, de zuurstofvoorziening te behouden en de hemodynamiek te optimaliseren, moet beademing worden uitgevoerd binnen de door de NRR 2021 richtlijnen aanbevolen parameters.

Eerdere studies hebben gemeld dat zorgverleners de neiging hebben om patiënten te hyperventileren tijdens reanimatie, wat de intrathoracale druk kan verhogen, de coronaire perfusiedruk in gevaar kan brengen en de overleving kan verminderen.
Het doel van deze studie was om te onderzoeken of real-time ventilatiefeedback (RTVF) de naleving van ventilatierichtlijnen door ambulancemedewerkers verbetert.
